Awake

Oil on Masonite 14" x 24"

During my slumber, I stumbled upon this place where a worm hole suddenly appears and starts to vacuum the trees close by. While I'm in complete awe of whats happening, I see a tree branch from above about to be sucked in when I noticed at the tip of the branch, it had this hand like form with an apple attached. It seemed as if the branch was presenting an offering to the wormhole. Scared out of my mind, I try to " awake " from this surreal enigma.

Dendroblood

Oil on Paper on Masonite 23.5" x 17"

Admitting to my slight phobia of tress/forest, I try to create a concept of what this anxiety might look like from a hellish perspective. I see a pool of blood leaking from the hole in the center of the tree. Is it coming from the tree itself or from something that entered inside the hole? Ether way, my bravery has been conquered....for now.

Porcelain Tomb

Oil on Paper on Masonite 25.5" x 33"

This concept is basically about emulation and coping with death. The spirit whom is a lover a nature, incased it's self in that orb since it doesn't want to be parted from the earth and the keeper kneeling there. So it emulated itself into a forest to blend in. But like all things, when it's time to let go, you have to let go.

Bleak Myst

Oil on Masonite, 18"x 23.5"

On his way back home, he gets this gut-wrenching feeling that he is somehow being watched. In a complex place such as the forest, anything can happen in the dark....

Skull General

I decided to give my brushes a break & try out my wacom tablet that I have neglected ever since I bought it 4 years ago lol. Not bad for my first digital rendering using photoshop. More digital work on the way soon!
